The Elevator Company's Equipment-Room-Free (ERF)
Revolution is a state-of-the-art residential elevator
system. Through the development of cutting-edge
technology, The Elevator company has effectively
eliminated the need for an independent equipment room,
thus removing one of the largest elevator related
issues facing design professionals and homeowners -
costly consumption of home square footage.
Traditional elevator systems require a minimum of 35
square feet of space dedicated solely to house
equipment.
Whether new home cost is $150.00 per square foot, or
$1,500.00 per square foot, at a 35 square foot
savings, the homeowner will surely benefit from
considerable cost savings, or gain valuable space in
their home.

No gearbox required
-
Uses 60% less power than hydraulic or gearbox driven
systems.
-
Fastest drive system available - up to 72 feet per
minute - using only single phase power (40 ft per minute
standard, up to 150 ft per minute on special orders).
Local variance may be required for speeds faster than 40
ft per minute.
-
Dynamic polarity-reversing brake built into motor
system.
-
Disk brake on low speed shaft assembly

|
Overhead requirements |
-
The Revolution requires no additional overhead
with the elimination of the equipment room - a
first in the elevator industry. The Elevator
Company was able to accomplish this by using a
true traction 2:1 machine allowing the entire
drive mechanism to reside behind the car
enclosure assembly even when the elevator is
positioned at the fullest extent of it travel.

|
Battery operation |
-
In the event of a power failure, the Revolution
runs in both up and down directions for up to an
hour of constant full load duty - a first in the
elevator industry!
|
|
Speed
monitoring governor system |
-
A factory calibrated governor automatically
triggers rail safeties (brakes) when the
elevator travels more than 12% above programmed
speed. The governor is centrifugally activated
so there is never a possibility of failure.
